Man charged after running van into Salvation Army store

A man from West Branch was arrested and charged with drunk driving last week. According to reports, the arrests occurred after the driver allegedly ran his van into a Salvation Army store. 

The man apparently got drunk and claimed he did not know how to drive. After hitting the store, the man allegedly walked away from the store with a beer in his hand.

Woman killed in van accident in Mitchell County

A woman was killed in an Iowa car accident Friday. According to police reports, the accident occurred in Mitchell County. 

The woman apparently ran a stop sign in her minivan and hit another car on Highway 9. The impact caused the van to roll over into a ditch.
