Two people were killed after they were hit by a car Thursday. According to police reports, the accident occurred in Eastern Iowa.

The Iowa Business Council released a survey that indicates that confidence about Iowa's economy is improving. The index incrased to 38.3 in the second quarter, up from 35.3 in the first quarter.
