We started in 1988 as a personal injury plaintiff law firm in Iowa. From the beginning, our work has centered on representing injured people and helping them navigate difficult legal challenges.

That core commitment has held steady as our practice has grown. Today, our Des Moines firm also handles workers’ compensation and business litigation, while staying true to the principles that shaped our start.

We’re one of the older personal injury firms in central Iowa, and our history reflects a consistent approach to representation. Decades in, our focus remains on the needs of people facing injuries and the legal challenges that follow.

Our team has built its work around personal service, careful preparation, and the resources needed to handle complex cases. That approach matters when clients go up against insurance companies, large corporations, or other well-resourced adversaries.

Growing Through Our Law Clerk Program

Our growth has been shaped by the people who came through our law clerk program. It gave prospective team members a chance to see how we work, and gave us a chance to see whether they shared our values and approach to client care.

Many chose to stay. As a result, a significant portion of our team has been with us for more than 20 years, and some for more than 30.
