Bus Review after Multiple Accidents

Over the last two years, 6 pedestrians have been hit by public transit buses. The most recent of these occurred this week when a 54-year-old woman was struck in a crosswalk.

All 6 of the accidents occurred while the buses were making left turns. Because of this, the Public Transit Authority has already cut down on the number of left turns buses make. Now driver safety measures are being reviewed in relation to the accidents.
